Don’t let your budding Emeril miss Sweet Basil Gourmetware and Cooking School’s Cooking Camp during the summer months. Participants ages 8 to 12 learn new techniques and basic recipes, while teens 13 to 17 prepare food from scratch. Taliesin West administers various prestigious summer programs for your aspiring young architect. Lessons involve energy spaces, new architecture forms, living spaces, building and design. From computer animation to anatomy, Arizona State University has plenty of courses to suit your kids’ interests. Third- through seventh-grade pupils can apply for the programs by April 7; acceptance is based on an evaluation of standardized test scores, teacher recommendations and a personal statement. Sessions are available June 9-27. Tuition is $425 per course; additional costs apply in some curriculums.
