A new dog park is in town!
Villa La PAWS is not just an ordinary dog daycare. This boarding, grooming, and dog training company will host a grand opening to launch their new outdoor/indoor dog park on Saturday and Sunday, August 6th and 7th, from 7am to 7pm. The park is included of its new Club PAWS - which focuses on providing a safer place for public dog parks. This twelve-hour, two-day opening is located at Villa La Paws at 10630 N 32nd Street in Phoenix.
A climate-controlled Competition Pavilion with trick props, tunnels, jumps and teeters can be reserved by experienced dog handlers. The Dog Park provides slides, tunnels and climbers. Dog owners may sit at tables and under umbrellas with evaporative coolers. For the furry ones, this PAWS Patio features an outside shaded sand box, slides, and climbing structures.
Unlike traditional practice venues and public dog parks, this wi-fi enabled Club PAWS was created as a more relaxing and safe choice. Being membership-based, all dogs are expected to pass a socialization test, be present on all vaccinations, and be neutered or spayed. To avoid injury, owners and dogs must have established prior obstacle equipment experience to reserve the Competition Pavilion.
"Dog parks are great for exercising and socializing dogs, but there are also some drawback to public parks," says CEO and president of Villa La PAWS, Tom Murray. "We wanted to eliminate as many of those variables as possible, like encountering overly agressive dogs or those not current on vaccines, which many pet parents worry about with public dog parks."
Club PAWS days and hours of operation will be Saturday 7am to 7pm and Sunday 7am to 5pm. Only pre-approved members will be allowed entry, please call for instructions for joining.
