Valley Horse Rescue Hosts 3rd Annual “Luv Shack Trainers’ Challenge” the challenge is Saturday, November 5 at 1:00 pm at the Cave Creek Memorial Arena. The Trainers’ Challenge is part of Cave Creek’s Wild West Days taking place November 3 through 6. Wild West Days includes character gun fight shows, a parade, pig races, games, food and more.
The exhibition is a competition among volunteer trainers and the rescued horses they’ve been working with for 90 days. This year renowned horse trainer Brandi Lyons will be among the many featured trainers. Each trainer will share the heartbreaking and hope filled story of the rehabilitated horse they have been working with. The horses will show their talents in trick riding, Western pleasure, dressage or hunt seat competition. Trainers will be judged on technical skills, artistic value and crowd appreciation. The challenge winner will win the coveted first place title and a $3,000 prize.
The Luv Shack Trainers’ Challenge showcases nine horses in hopes of finding each of them a loving, forever-home.
The Adoption proceeds will be used to pay for feed, hoof care, and vet expenses for Luv Shack horses, as well as to fund other programs for children. The Luv Shack is a 100 percent volunteer run organization with no paid staff.
