In their season finale, the Scottsdale Baroque Orchestra (SBO) will be teaming up with Mother’s Against Drunk Driving (MADD) in a presentation of the concert "Bach to the Future".
In lieu of a ticket charge, the SBO will be accepting a recommended donation of $10/person at the door which will go towards MADD’s mission of awareness and drunk driving prevention.
For this concert, the orchestra will be messing with musical history. Concert goers will enter a world where:
The concert program will feature works by Salieri, Lully, Bach as well a new piece by Andrew Paul Jackson commissioned by the SBO. This concert will feature marimba soloist Spencer Goad.
Aside from their engaging programming, the SBO offers you a truly unique concert experience. Approximately twenty minutes before a performance begins, you will be treated to a “Salon Music” program which welcomes you into the hall and provides a musical background to conversations with friends. This program then resumes during intermission, further enhancing the musical atmosphere and your overall concert experience.
