In My Shoes

Tania Mendes is an Arizona State University student majoring in Journalism and Mass Communication at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism. She is an aspiring entertainment news reporter, member of student government, and the first elected and youngest student government president at the Arizona State University Downtown Phoenix Campus. Mendes is originally from Nashua, New Hampshire, and had the opportunity to meet President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama while interning for The United States Department of the Interior. In My Shoes caught up with Tania to find out what inspires her success. 

In My Shoes loves to feature students from Arizona State University and likes to get their personal style under the radar. Demetrius Burns attends ASU’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, and at the age of 21, his style catches the attention of most. For Burns, the Aztec culture inspires his personal style because of the colors and intricate geometries.

Lynnie Nguyen is a freshman at Arizona State University majoring in Journalism and Mass Communication. When it comes to fashion, Lynnie says that she finds beauty and inspiration in absolutely everything, from architecture to literature.

When it comes to dining, there are a variety of restaurants around the Arizona State University campus that are student favorites. Whether you feel like visiting a sit- down restaurant with a group of friends, or grabbing a quick bite to eat, there are a variety of cafés and restaurants that will surely meet your needs. The Downtown Phoenix campus at Arizona State University offers some unique restaurants that are definitely worth visiting.
