Tempe Festival of Arts

Stroll down Mill Avenue while watching painters, street performers and more than 400 national artists. Vendors will sell olive oils, salsas, jams and soups at the Cottage Edibles and Crafts area. Festival admission is free but admission into the wine festival is $12 and the beer garden is $10. Culinary Festival of Chocolates, Confections and Fine Art 

Chocolate lovers will find their paradise at the Carefree Desert Gardens, a four-acre botanical park, during the Chocolates, Confections and Fine Art Festival. More than 100 exhibitors will sell sweet confections and decadent chocolates while artists sell arts and crafts. Children will enjoy a play zone, Easter-egg hunt and crafts. The Carefree Amphitheater will feature music and entertainment. The event is from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free. www.magicbirdfestivals.com; www.carefree.org

 

Phoenix Kidney Walk

Support the National Kidney Foundation of Arizona at the second annual non-competitive 5K walk at Chase Field. The walk begins at 9 a.m. and focuses on education and prevention of kidney disease.
