In just over 230 days, two teams will take the field at University of Phoenix Stadium to compete for the coveted College Football Playoff (CFP) National Championship title.

While the highly anticipated matchup on January 11 will be the pinnacle of the 2015 – 2016 college football season, the days leading up to the game will be equally as exciting.

Plans for the downtown Phoenix footprint were recently unveiled with the support of Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton, the Arizona Organizing Committee (AOC) and CFP.

Free events for the community include AT&T Playoff Playlist Live!, an outdoor music festival. The concert series will feature a variety of national recording artists to be named this fall. Plus, ESPN will broadcast live throughout the weekend within Playoff Playlist Live!

Ticketed events will include Playoff Fan Central, a multi-day fan festival, and Taste of the Championship, an event benefiting the CFP’s Extra Yard for Teachers initiative. Taste of the Championship will feature a mix of top local chefs and culinary masterminds from around the country. Both events will take place at the Phoenix Convention Center and provide attendees a prime opportunity to take in the national championship experience.

Additionally, the CFP unveiled its Extra Yard for Teachers Summit, an initiative of the College Football Playoff Foundation. The summit celebrates and gives back to teachers in the local community.

Even better, this is just the beginning. Over the next few months, the CFP and AOC will be announcing the availability of tickets for Playoff Fan Central and Taste of the Championship, the Playoff Playlist Live! lineup, additional fan events, and opportunities for you to get involved.
