When I was little, I had bunkbeds. I slept on the bottom, and all my "friends" slept on top. Seriously, I had a top bunk full of stuffed animals. And everyone had a name. And I talked to them as if they were real. Big Bird being my favorite.

Every night my two year old goes to sleep with four special friends: Lion, Ducky, Monkey and Beluga. (Yes, we're very creative when it comes to names.) However, he recently added a 5th friend to his nightly sleepovers... Elmo.

One could say our household has a slight Elmo obsession. We have Elmo birthday parties, Elmo books, Elmo stuffed animals and watch Elmo on a regular basis. In fact, I even think my youngest looks like Elmo. Regardless, when I heard that Sesame Street Live was coming to Phoenix, I knew I had to get tickets.

The show will be in AZ May 14th and 15th, and tickets are available for kid friendly times (I especially appreciate the 10:30am offering!). Instead of doing an article previewing the show, please check it out here, and instead, relive your childhood by reading my below interview with- you guessed it- Elmo.

  • Tell me about a typical day in the life of Elmo.

Elmo gets up, eats breakfast, feeds Dorothy HER breakfast, and then it’s time to play and learn with friends on Sesame Street!

  • What do you do when you’re not hanging out with all your friends on Sesame Street? What’s your hobby?

Elmo loves books. Dorothy and Elmo LOVE to use our imagination with each story!

  • Tell me your favorite part of living on Sesame Street.

Elmo loves that no matter if there’s rain or shine, someone on Sesame Street is willing to bring you Sunny Days – even Oscar the Grouch brings a smile to Elmo’s face!

  • How or where do you see yourself in the next 3-5 years?

Elmo would LOVE to conduct a chorus – or even an orchestra! La-la, la-la!

  • What’s your favorite song?

Elmo likes the ABC song.

  • What’s your favorite color?

Red – just like Elmo!
