The Phoenix Art Museum is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year with a lavish celebration and a variety of other events.

As the final touches are made on the Phoenix Heart Ball’s 50th anniversary gala, we look back on the organization’s many accomplishments and the women behind the ball - from then to now.

From the moment you step foot on Los Cabos territory en route to Las Ventanas al Paraiso, you are swept up in a whirlwind of luxury. An airport host awaits to take you to your driver - in a Mercedes, no less - who offers Mexican sweets (“If you’re on a diet, break it,” he says), chilled water and a pre-loaded iPod for the duration of your drive. You may think it doesn’t get any better than this, until you arrive at the resort.

For many dog owners, a dog is more than just a pet, but a part of the family. However, for abused, neglected and at-risk children across the Valley, a dog can be a teacher, a friend and even a savior.
