Famous Arizona-based blues band, Tommy Dukes, is bringing more than 30 years’ of rockin’ blues experience to the British Open Pub this Saturday, May 19, beginning at 9 p.m.

“Some things really do get better with age,” said Gregg Troilo, owner of the British Open Pub. “And, as any blues fan can tell you, the sounds of Tommy Dukes Blues Band is one of those things.”

Tommy Dukes Blues Band plays such venues as the Telluride Music Festival in Flagstaff and the Winslow Blues Festival and competed nationally at the 2007 International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee, after winning second place in the Phoenix Blues Society Blues Contest in 2006.

Tommy Dukes Blues Band was inducted into the Arizona Blues Hall of Fame in 1997.

“We’re honored to have a real blues band playing this Saturday at the British Open Pub,” Troilo said. “It’s going to be a great night of music, beer and bar food and everyone’s invited to come out and party like its Mardi Gras.”

There is no cover charge for the evening of blues at the British Open Pub.

“We want everyone to have a chance to hear great blues music,” Troilo said. “It’s America’s music and something you have to experience live.”
