If you’re like me, you don’t think of testicular cancer when someone mentions FeelMyBalls. However, FeelMyBalls is a not-for-profit on a mission to rid the world of testicular cancer . In honor of April being Testicular Cancer Month Scottsdale club, Pussycat Lounge (PCL,) has jumped on board to help them with their cause.
Much like the Keep a Breast Foundation, FeelMyBalls was established to raise awareness of testicular cancer so that men are reminded about the importance of routinely checking themselves for any signs of cancer. I was stunned to learn that testicular cancer occurs most often in men between the ages of 20 – 39! Luckily, the handsome bartenders of old town Scottsdale have graciously offered to help raise awareness.
PCL will be hosting a Testicular Cancer Awareness Event on Monday, April 9th by holding their very own male auction. Popular bartenders from various bars and nightclubs will be auctioned off in celebration of the great male talent Scottsdale is famous for while raising funds and promoting awareness. 100 percent of the contributions will go directly to the LIVESTRONG Foundation, which is the designated charity for all FeelMyBalls events and proceeds.
Popular Valley matchmaker, Joann Cohen, will be at PCL to emcee the auction and help you bid on your favorite male bartender while DJ Diesel is on the scene spinning beats throughout the night.
Over 8,000 cases of testicular cancer are diagnosed each year but 90% of early-detected testicular cancer patients can be cured in a single treatment! This staggering number can be reduced my raising awareness of the importance to check yourself regularly (or have someone else check for you) to find any signs of testicular cancer and raise your chances of early detection!
FeelMyBalls main goal is to bring a heightened awareness of testicular cancer to the masses, the effects it has on those struggling with it, and the effects it has on the families of those fighting. But this cannot be done alone. Join us at PCL on Monday, April 9th to not only win a date with one of Old Town’s sexiest bartenders but help raise awareness and save a few balls in the process!
