Claiming one of the best locations in all of Scottsdale, Bungalow Bar and Grill sits conveniently on the South West corner of Camelback and Stetson. Whether slaving away at work, out and about enjoying a day of shopping or heading to Old Town for a night on the town, Bungalow is always “just around the corner.”
Bungalow’s recently launched “Skinny Happy Hour,” an addition to the regular happy hour, has caught the attention of many, including me. Since my husband has never been, and I hadn’t been in a while, we decided to drop in. What a fantastic decision.
The quality of food and the assortment of menu items at Bungalow is absolute perfection. Lunch, dinner, happy hour and late night eats – Bungalow will now be our top pick. Although it has the reputation of being a sports bar, it is so much more. Their patio is large and is equipped with misters and the inside dining area reveals a more intimate, sensual feel. I was also very impressed with the staff at Bungalow. They all take pride in this establishment, so expect thorough, knowledgeable and ultra-friendly service.
Skinny Happy Hour Monday – Friday 4-7pm
Skinny Time Cocktails (Skinny Jeans Tea, The Skinny Margarita, No-Belly Bungalow, VoliPolitan)
Calories: under 100 calories
Price: Between $4 – $5
My fave: The Skinny Margarita is delightful. It may be missing calories, but it is not lacking in taste. With the Skinny Happy Hour drinks you also get to take home a drink shaker, perfect for bartending at your summer pool parties.
Skinny Time Appetizers (Chicken Skewers, Hummus and Cajun Seared Ahi)
Ingredients: Home-made, specializing in fresh and natural ingredients.
Price: Between $6-$7
My fave: Hummus is delicious! This happy hour menu might be filled with appetizers, but they also make great entrees!
Skinny Happy Hour is great for post work relaxation, and the tasty, calorie reduced options for out heat filled summer is a plus, but I also suggest trying Bungalow’s full menu; you will be blown away by the superior cuisine. From the Spinach Artichoke Dip to the Veggie Burger and even Filet Mignon, you will savor every last bite!
I now have two restaurants in the Valley that I crave! Check out www.bungalowbarandgrill.com for more information.
