NIGEL

Nigel’s family moved and abandoned him at a local shelter. A botched ear surgery, probably done at home, to replicate the “Pincher” ears left Nigel with deep scars.

Due to glaucoma, a cataract that impairs his vision and severely over-crowded shelter conditions, Nigel found himself on the euthanasia list. Valley Dogs came to rescue and saved Nigel from certain death. In cooperation with Eye Care for Animals in Avondale, Nigel had surgery for lens replacement. Although he cannot see in one eye, Nigel is expected to live a normal life. He is recuperating with a foster family where he enjoys playtime, belly rubs and dog biscuits. A social little boy, Nigel gets along with other dogs and people. He will need an introduction to cats. Valley Dogs raised a portion of the funds required to help Nigel but continues to accept donations to pay the balance on Nigel’s surgery. Nigel patiently waits for a forever home where he will be loved and cherished.
