Minkus’ Don Quixote
At 7 p.m., the Vail Theatre of the Arts will perform the world famous ballet of the story of Don Quixote. In the story, Don Quixote dreams of a beautiful woman and imagines himself a knight and sets out to find her.

Himelic Memorial Dinner and Golf Classic
A gala and golf tournament will take place at Westin La Paloma to benefit ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease) research. From 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday, a silent auction, dinner, and dancing to live music by The Roadhouse will occur. Tickets to Friday’s event are $75 each.

Spacefest IV
A conference for famous astronauts, astronomers, space scientists, space art and artists, space-book authors, NASA contractors, dealers and fans of everything space occurs through Monday May 4 at the JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort and Spa. Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., admission is $35 per day.
