This past awards season had to be one of my favorites. From the amazing looks at the Oscars, to the incredible Golden Globes and even the Emmy’s. It felt like this season there were some starlets that became bonafide stars due in part to their stunning red carpet showings – Emma Stone, Mila Kunis, Carrie Mulligan and Jennifer Lawrence just to name a few. Of course all these lovely ladies have the acting chops to put them front and center nominated for one of those shiny awards, but in the history of Tinseltown let’s face it, when you dress like an A-Lister…. You often become one…
Refinery 29 this week did a feature on the ladies behind the ladies on the red carpet. Take a peek at the hottest new stylists that are taking these celebs to the next level. From the girl who got Kristen Stewart out of her converse, to the team who inspired Miu-Miu to feature Hailee Steinfeld in their ads or even the stylist to took an Easy A in Emma Stone and turned her into beyond an A+.
The stylist: Petra Flannery
The stars: Emma Stone, Zoe Saldana, Mila Kunis, Megan Fox
The signature look: High-drama and glamour are the name of the game for Petra, and considering Mila Kunis was consistently one of the best-dressed during this year’s awards season, hers is definitely a name you need to know.
The stylist: Elizabeth Stewart
The stars: Cate Blanchett, Jennifer Lawrence, Lea Michelle
The signature look: Whether she’s putting Cate in Givenchy Couture or Jennifer Lawrence in sleek Calvin Klein—both on the same Oscar night—Stewart’s style defies categorization.
The stylist: Cher Coulter
The star: Kate Bosworth
The signature look: Whether she’s securing Chanel Haute Couture for Ms. Bosworth or putting her in Chloé RTW, this all-star stylist (who also designs a collection of jewelry for JewelMint with Kate) has made her client one of Hollywood’s best-dressed.
The stylist: Simone Harouche

The signature look: She’s cornered the market on Boho-chic, and we love her line of bags inspired by textiles from all over the globe.
The stylists: Karla Welch and Kemal Harris
The stars: Olivia Wilde, Hailee Steinfeld, Anna Paquin
The signature look: Their red-carpet work with Hailee Steinfeld inspired Miuccia Prada to put Ms. Steinfeld in the latest Miu Miu ad campaign, so we’re pretty sure this styling team has the ear of the industry.
The stylist: Tara Swennen
The stars: Kristen Stewart, Kate Beckinsale
The signature look: With her global press pushes for Twilight, Tara keeps Kristen Stewart in Balmain, Emilio Pucci, and Proenza Schouler minidresses that are age-appropriate and edgy.
The stylist: Samantha McMillen
The stars: Carey Mulligan, Evan Rachel Wood, Johnny Depp
The signature look: She’s responsible for elevating Carey Mulligan’s look from ingenue to style star, and is the mastermind behind Evan Rachel Wood’s glamour-puss red-carpet moments
The stylist: Nicole Chavez

The signature look: Nicole’s clients never show up to a red carpet or press junket in anything less than the perfect outfit. Whether it’s 3.1 Phillip Lim or Club Monaco, Nicole is the high priestess of high-low.
