This past weekend, I had the pleasure to attend the Phoenix Fashion Week MIM Rocks Fashion Show. The annual event is aimed at showcasing top stylists from Phoenix to Tucson and their top picks from the season’s hottest trends. A portion of this year’s proceeds benefitted the M.U.S.I.C. Foundation of Arizona… There was even a special video from actor Jamie Foxx endorsing the foundation.
The sold-out crowd was dressed to impress and enjoyed the indoor/outdoor setting during the meet and greet portion of the night. This gave fashionistas, media, and attendees the chance to meet the talented designers, stylists, and boutique owners prior to the runway show.
There were also a few surprises along the way in the form of dancers and live musical guests.
Bri Seeley has been a favorite of this here blogger since we first met her last year at Phoenix Fashion Week 2012. It’s not just her designs that are amazing, but this lovely lady is one of the sweetest people around. And there is no doubt about it, she is certainly deserving of her title as PHXFW 2012 Designer of the Year.
Bri’s line was styled by Brian J. Swan.
Another 2012 PHXFW Emerging Designer we have come to love is Khanh. Stylist, Fawn Cheng styled the designer’s ENVY by Khanh with sexy black hats… a crowd pleaser indeed.
Stylist, Yeka Bruner made the crowd hungry with her yummy spring and summer color choices from Divaz Boutique. Her inspiration, “sorbet and macaroons,” had the crowd craving the sweetest of desserts.
Rochelle York, a personal stylist from Glendale, Arizona, chose trendy bright colors, statement necklaces and feminine silhouettes from Clothes Minded.
Amir Saebi represented for the men, styling clothes from his eclectic vintage shop Amir’s La Voute.
