Get ready for a weekend full of fashion, style, art and celebrity during Tucson Fashion Week, Oct. 13-15. The three-day long fashion extravaganza will include everything from runway shows featuring the best up-and-coming talent, art shows with special celebrity guests and can’t-miss after parties at various locations around Tucson.
Thursday, Oct. 13 City Chic Fashion Show, Art Exhibit and Party
- ART EXHIBIT [VIP ticket holders only] at Hotel Congress from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Author, musician, and vintage collector Cesar Padilla will curate a micro vintage rock & roll t-shirt exhibit and hold a meet & greet and book signing of his book, Ripped. Cesar is the Owner of Cherry, acclaimed vintage boutique, and the supplier of key wardrobe looks for award-winning films American Gangster and American Hustle, and HBO’s newest series Vinyl.
- TFW attendees will then head over to the Rialto Theatre for the FASHION SHOW AND PARTY at the Rialto Theatre from 7:30 p.m. – 10 p.m.
The second half of the night’s event will have an exciting urban chic runway fashion show featuring Estéban, Kayzrly, Harley Davidson, Abel Gallegos, Anine Paulsen, Christopher Pape, Kreate, and Generation Cool. The highlight of the evening will be an edited sneak peek into Cesar Padilla’s looks on HBO’s Vinyl. A special musical guest appearance by Jason Maek & Zaena of Maek.
Friday, Oct. 14 Premiere Runway & Fashion Presentations at the Museum of Contemporary Art from 6 p.m. – 10 p.m.
The runway show will feature the work of iconic designer and creator of fashion brand and cosmetics line Heatherette, Richie Rich. Richie will feature some exclusive archival designs and premiere his new collection Rich by Richie Rich. Also featuring: Shahida Parides, Cry Baby Couture, Theo Doro, Monica Hansen Beachwear, and Qmulative. Recording artists Jason Maek and Zaena will perform and show their exclusive video, Fashion Week: the Visual Album. The night will also showcase four local and regional designers.
Saturday, Oct. 15 Tucson Ladies Council Maison De Mode at Etherton Gallery from 5:30 p.m. – 10 p.m.
Maison de Mode literally translates to the house of fashion. This exclusive evening of art, fashion, food and champagne will take guests on a metropolitan yet intimate journey of three unique locations and events. This is an all-in-one fashion, food and art filled evening benefiting the Southern Arizona Children’s Advocacy Center (SACAC).
The night will begin with an art reception and fashion presentation at the historic and acclaimed Terry Etherton Gallery. Guests will be treated to culinary delights by the James Beard Award-winning Chef, Janos Wilder and a meet and greet with fashion designers Henry Picado and Shahida Clayton from Shahida Parides.
Under a sea of lights, guests will be escorted by roaming musicians to the Carriage House for drinks, photos and an intimate salon-style fashion show featuring regional designers, retailers, the launch of Shahida Parides’ luxury collection, designer Henry Picado’s Prêt-à-Porter Fall 2017 collection, and presentations by (W) Boutique and Posh Boutique.
The evening wraps with a classic Fashion Week party hosted by Merci Gallery and Perrier Jouet. Guests will be treated to champagne and chocolate bonbons while listening to music, looking at art and shopping the highly curated selections of Henry Picado and Shahida Parides.
This charitable event is limited to 185 guests, each ticket is $200 and 100% of ticket sales benefit the SACAC.
