Chanel took its 2017 Métiers d’Art back home, hosting the annual show at the Ritz Paris.
The light and feminine collection was inspired by the twenties and thirties, when Coco Chanel herself lived at the Ritz and had her office down the street at Rue Cambon
“For me, it’s a certain idea of Paris: Gabrielle Chanel, the Ritz, the Hemingway Bar. This is the kind of Paris everyone would like to bring back,” Karl Lagerfeld told WWD.
Of course, Lagerfeld tapped his famous friends to walk the show, including Pharrell, Lily-Rose Depp and Cara Delevingne, who walked among the audience seated at chic tables enjoying afternoon tea throughout the hotel’s main-floor bar, restaurant, library and winter garden.
