Everyone has those days. Uusally it’s the morning of a big date, wedding or other special occasion. You wake up and you have some not-so-welcome visitor that’s insitent on taking over your face. It’s not pretty. It’s not fun. And it always seems to happen at the absolute worst moments.
What’s even more frustrating, as an adult isn’t this not supposed to happen anymore? I mean, it’s one thing to be a teen, but the occasional outbreak as an adult is totally frustrating and horrifying too.
I’m pretty sure you’ve all heard of Proactiv. If you’re not that familiar with the Proactiv line, it’s the dermatologist-developed collection of acne products you see on TV endorsed by celebs like Jessica Simpson and Vanessa Williams. Their three-step acne-management system is totally infamous and known as one of the best acne-solutions on the market.
So when I heard they were launching two new products to add to the line, I definitely wanted to learn more.
Luckily, when I was a teenager I wasn’t consistently plagued with acne. So when I am in need of a little bit of help, I’m more of a quick-fix kind of gal versus a complete program. So the new Proactiv Clear Purifying Mask and Medicated Blemish Stick totally called out to me.
Proactiv’s Clear Purifying Mask is a sulfur-based mask that can be used 2-3 times a week. It can also be used as an overnight lotion for people who have oily or acne-prone skin.
Many acne fighting products use ingredients like benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid. Proactiv’s sufur based-mask is a great alternative for those who have sensitivity to products that use benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid. And, ingredients like Tea Tree oil, green tea extract and Montmorillonite clay helps absorb excess oil in the skin and delivers powerful antioxidants that condition and soothe.
I haven’t had the chance (luckily) to test out the Proactiv Clear Purifying Mask. But what most caught my attention out of the two new products was the Proactiv Medicated Blemish Stick. It’s an anti-acne concealer. Um, how genius is that?!?! You can literally medicate while covering up so you know longer have to walk around your house with some so-not-cute white spots on your face.
The blemish stick comes in four diferent shades and the formula provides natural-looking coverage.
You can get both the Proactiv Clear Purifying Mask and the Proactive Medicated Blemish Stick at www.proactiv.com.
Proactiv Clear Purifying Mask, $20.
Proactive Medicated Blemish Stick, $18.
I would love to try the concealor/blemish stick, that’s a great idea. My brother used Proactiv during his bad skin phase and I always stole bits of the mask to put on any pimples at night. It works really well.
The pencil stick is genius, especially for us ladies.
always wondered if proactiv really worked…
Good for people like me who don’t like to commit to an entire regimen.
If proactive is so great I don’t know why there are people around with tons of acne. What are they waiting for?!
The pimple pencil is a great idea since I’m sure traditional concealers don’t help it much.
Wow this is so neat.
I like that this isn’t crazy pricy!
