From the very first moment I saw Audrey Hepburn wearing that fitted little black dress in Breakfast at Tiffany’s it has been one of my all-time favorite essentials. I don’t think that I have ever gone a season without at least one in my closet. But, deep down in there is a rocker chick inside of me a la’Debbie Harry or Chrissie Hines that needs that little somethin’ somethin’ to spice things up. It usually comes in the form of oversized junk jewelry or the real deal vintage handbags that many a modern designer has copied. Maybe it’s just the frugalista in me or maybe I really am a child of the 70’s and 80’s at heart. Then one fine day I was introduced to the rock and roll bling-ness Beth Church and I have been coveting her one -of -a- kinds ever since. I first gushed over Beth’s super stylish wares while wrangling models backstage at the FGI (Fashion Group International) Rising Star awards in 2006. This former antiques dealer and vintage jewelry junkie has parlayed her mega creativity and artistic talents into what might possibly be the perfect “good girl gone bad” collection of wearable art that I have seen since MTV actually played videos.
Each piece is made by Beth’s little ol’ hands, all lovingly crafted from a collection of vintage glass beads, sparkling gemstones, freshwater pearls, Swarovski crystals and collectable antique buttons, brooches and baubles. Pieces run the gamut from Rocker chic, to bridal to brooches and even feathery shoe clips that Marie Antoinette would be proud to flutter. Even celebs like Paris Hilton have been snapped in some of Ms Church’s high voltage neckwear.
And since this season is ripe for a little rocker chic like cropped leather jackets (okay let’s do that one when it’s under 100 degrees), neo- grunge tees and pencil slim denim, this is the time to snatch up a little bit of Beth for yourself.
Pair this statement necklace with a super skinny pair of J Brand jeans from Nordstrom’s
And no rock goddess moment would be complete without the wedge heeled booties from Betsey Johnson available at Piperlime.
Even more yummy this Helmut Newton go with everything blouse from saks.com.
You can get a peek at more of Beth’s fall collection in AFM’s September fashion spread and for more info visit www.bethchurch.com

Oops darlings… I made a boo-boo that is a Helmut Lang blouse not Helmut Newton….
I love the first and third necklaces, but not the second one-but maybe that’s just because Paris Hilton annoys me. The first one is TO DIE FOR!! I’m going to checkout her website and see if they’re in my price-range!
Very beautiful! If a catalog is available. I am very interested!
Yep the first necklace is my fave too!

Apologies to Beth CHURCH! Trying to do two things at once while blogging and reading…never again 🙂
I can find one of those tangly necklaces- right in my jewelry box! I can never keep all my stuff straight.
the first necklace is absolutely gorgeous. A perfect elegance, I’d say 🙂 thanks for sharing!
