As noted yesterday I have been on a thoroughly joyous bit of a fashion docu-pix ramble as of late. And surprisingly I am finding myself consciously and unconsciously dissecting the manner, agenda and look of each couturier’s entourage….Valentino so emotional so passionate, YSL quietly restrained, sensitive and thoughtful, Lagerfeld, opulent, boisterous and devil may care…. Each magically delicious and culturally spot- on in their own way The more I watch the more I find that I am intoxicated not necessarily by the fashion alone but by the process… start to finish I am gaga over it!

So when asked recently what I would buy this season if money were no object, I found it rather a loaded question, one that I could barely give heed to. It would be a total fabrication if I tried to nonchalantly rattle off a list a la Andrea Leon , but a few things that sparked my eye from the get go are ….
Marni Necklace as previously posted the inner rock chick can’t resist something with a bit of metal and mixing it will soft ladylike textures sends my fashion taste buds into overdrive
Phoebe Philo is back as Celine’s creative honcho and who can’t resist the girl that kept Chloe cool after Stella (McCartney) got her own groove on… though she may not have had a hand in fall 09, I would if money were no thing snatch up the head to toe Celine look featuring this slate colored cashmere wrap worn with calfskin pants and boots combo….heaven knows that this particular shade of turmeric could go terribly wrong on a vertically challenged girl….. But I heart it!
Infused with a little disco in my soul I can’t resist a bit of impossibly chic sequins. So this flashy little Sportmax number is on my list. I can see it with a low cut tee or a slinky turtleneck and great fitting jeans… ankle boots required of course!
Sportmax
Everyone needs a good white blouse (remember my lecture on re-doing your closet?), I am not sure that these ones qualify as a basic but why not channel a bit of vampire drama for daytime? Chanel’s cascading necklines are so chic; so Catherine Deneuve, paired with a pencil skirt this would be sheer nirvana.
I have realized that no self-respecting and self-titled fashionista should be without the perfect clutch. I flipped over the sequin versions by Prada but even I know this is anything but practical…. So this would be only an evening decoration…
Prada Clutch
But I am still on the hunt for a little….dare I say practicality?
I’m loving statement neckalaces this fall. The price tag on the Marni necklace is probably to large for me though!
I just rented Valentino The Last Emporer and it was so interesting. I loved seeng such an amazing designer’s life behind the scenes.
These designers have a vision like no other.
such a pretty clutch!
Interesting picks…they are definitely not mine!
The Prada clutch is fun- I have a P. clutch I’ve had for 5 years and I still love it!
