2025 Subaru Legacy 2.4 Touring XT: Refined and Practical

Over the past week, I had the chance to personally drive the 2025 Subaru Legacy 2.4 Touring XT, and I have to say, it held its own in a way I didn’t expect. As a long-time Subaru owner, I’ve always been partial to their wagons—there’s just something about the extra space and versatility I prefer over their sedans.

The Legacy 2.4 Touring XT offers a smooth, comfortable ride, with a surprisingly responsive turbocharged engine that gives you more power than I initially anticipated. The interior is refined and well-appointed, with quality materials throughout and tech that feels intuitive once you get the hang of it. I found the driver’s seat to be supportive for a city commute, and the cabin is remarkably quiet, even at highway speeds.

That said, I did have to adjust to the car’s array of safety features. The constant beeping reminders—seat belt, lane departure, eyes on the road—took a bit of getting used to. While I appreciate the attention to safety, it felt a bit overwhelming at times, especially on longer trips.

Overall, the Legacy 2.4 Touring XT is a solid choice for anyone looking for a reliable, well-rounded sedan with the Subaru trademark safety and versatility. I’d definitely consider it as a great alternative to a wagon if you’re looking for something more compact but still practical.
