A fully loaded, custom-built 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited will be up for auction at Phoenix Children’s Hospital Foundation’s 2015 Beach Ball this Saturday evening, January 28, 2015, presented by University of Phoenix.
The donated Jeep, compliments of benevolent Valley resident and car enthusiast Scott Bindley, will be proudly displayed at the entrance to the event before being highlighted as the live auction’s most anticipated item. A rugged, yet stylish vehicle, the 2012 Wrangler has only 30,000 miles and holds the balance of a three-year manufacturer’s warranty. Thanks to donations from Total Auto Pros, Discount Tire, Cactus Jeep and Off-Road, Soundwerks Scottsdale, Airaid Industries, RK Sport, and Limitless Automotive Solutions, the stock vehicle that Bindley purchased went from average to incredible in just a matter of weeks.
“The generosity and support of our community is humbling,” said Steve Schnall, SVP and Chief Development Officer Phoenix Children’s Hospital Foundation. “When given the opportunity to step up for Phoenix Children’s Hospital, it is always amazing to see the extraordinary efforts people are willing to make for our community’s most vulnerable children. We are incredibly grateful to Scott and the other sponsors for making this vehicle one of the coolest auction items we’ve ever seen.”
The bigger, badder Jeep features a lifted TeraFlex suspension, custom hood, custom front and rear bumpers, Black Rhino wheels, 37-inch Pro Comp tires and a heavy-duty tire carrier, custom Katzkin leather interior, back up camera, Bushwacker fenders, tinted windows, N-Fab steps, custom air-intake system, and an envy-worth A/V system featuring a DVD touchscreen. A custom satin white pearl vehicle wrap and strong black accents complete the Jeep’s transformation, but Bindley doesn’t want to stop there.
“We’re really looking to make this vehicle everything a Jeep enthusiast, outdoorsman (or woman) and adventure-seeker could want in a secondary car. I’d love to add a factory hardtop and light bar,” said Bindley. “If there’s anyone who wants to contribute to the project, we’d welcome the additional help.”
For the finishing touch, Bindley secured a custom license plate for the vehicle declaring his devotion for Phoenix Children’s Hospital Foundation that reads: “4PHXKDS.” Proceeds from the sale of the Jeep will directly benefit the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Phoenix Children’s Hospital.
