Aston Martin and Zagato Reveal Super Muscle Car

If the Italians are known for anything, it is style.  Whether it be bicycles, clothing, or sunglasses, nobody has quite the touch that the Italian design studios have demonstrated over the past century or so.  When coupled with English engineering ala Aston Martin, you get the new Aston Martin V12 Zagato.

The concept version of the new Aston Martin V12 Zagato debuted at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in May, while the model made its racing debut at Nürburgring.  The V12 Zagato is based on the Aston Martin V12 Vantage, but features fresh bodywork penned by the namesake Italian design house. The car celebrates of fifty years of collaboration between Aston Martin and Zagato, dating back to the original DB4 GT.

Aston Martin released a statement last week saying that the concept vehicle was set to enter official production status, but provided little to no details.  Then today Aston Martin released a full statement revealing that they would soon enter production in Warwickshire, capping out at a limited 150 cars.  The release also stated that the Aston Martin V12 Zagato would come with  price tag of $330,000, making this vehicle a very rare and exclusive purchase for two reasons.

Phoenix Valley auto enthusiasts can likely view the new 2012 Aston Martin V12 Zagato later this year or early 2012 at Scottsdale Aston Martin.  Phoenix Valley auto enthusiasts should also plan on attending this years Phoenix Arizona International Auto Show to learn about the most recent concepts and innovations in the auto industry (and to possibly grab a glance at the new Aston Martin V12 Zagato), taking place at the Phoenix Arizona Convention center over Thanksgiving weekend.
