Knight XV Voted Best Car for Zombie Apocalypse

The year was 1984, an elite group of airborne Soviet commandos invade and occupy a small Colorado mountain community.  The young men of the area take to the surrounding wilderness, learn to survive, form a militia, and put up the greatest fight of their life to win their town back for freedom, for America.  Or so the plot to the classic 1980s Patrick Swayze film “Red Dawn” goes.

Anyone who has seen this film, especially if they viewed it in their formative years, has been forced to consider their options in the event of a Soviet invasion of the US.  Of course this fear was slightly more rational before the 1991 collapse of the Soviet Union, but it is still in our nature to be prepared for disaster, to increase our odds of survival when the unlikely should happen.  This is why the 2012 Knight XV from Conquest Vehicles exists.

Twice the size of a standard Hummer, this “civilian” “tank”, the Knight XV, is designed for the worst case scenario: Soviet invasion, zombie apocalypse, blimp attack, mad dog alert, whatever may happen.  Coming standard equipped with bullet proof glass, a rooftop mounted 360 degree joystick controlled search light (you could probably mount a machine gun to that…just sayin), “flat proof” ballistic run tires, night vision surveillance cameras, an external listening device, and a bio-deisel ready engine for when you have to make your own fuel, this vehicle is the ultimate post apocalyptic survival tool.

Starting at $629,000 for the 2012 model, this vehicle is intended to be an ultra secure and ultra luxury means of transportation.  This is reflected in the interior.  In addition to all of the electronic options for operating the various security related gear, the interior looks and feels like an upscale lounge.  Upholstered in leather and Wilton Wool and complete with a wine center, refreshment bar, cigar humidor and flat-screen satellite TV, you can safely ride out the zombie apocalypse in comfort and style.

In the event that neither a Soviet invasion nor zombie apocalypse should happen in the next month, Phoenix Valley auto enthusiasts should plan on attending the Phoenix Arizona International Auto Show to learn about the most recent concepts and innovations coming out of the world wide automotive industry, taking place at the Phoenix Arizona Convention center over Thanksgiving weekend.  Phoenix Valley auto enthusiasts should also plan on attending the LA International Auto Show, one of the premier automotive events on the planet and a short drive from the Phoenix Valley area, also taking place in November.
