The annual Spring Training Poker Classic will return on Saturday, March 19 at W Scottsdale. Celebrities, athletes and partygoers will have the opportunity to participate in a friendly game of poker in support of the Mike Coolbaugh Memorial Fund which was formed in memory of Mike Coolbaugh who passed away in July 2007 after being struck in the head by a line drive while coaching his team, the Tulsa Drillers.
Participants will be playing for the grand prize of a $10,000 seat to the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. Participating celebrities to be announced soon; past players have included Clayton Kershaw, Denny Hamlin, Cliff Pennington and more. Baseballs to be autographed by players upon arrival will be available for purchase for $50.
Guests are able to register pre-event buy-in starting at $175 or walk-up buy-ins will be available for purchase the day of the event starting at $200. Registration is at 6:30 p.m. with the tournament starting at 7 p.m. on the WET Deck.
