4 Alternative Ways to Spend Valentine’s Day

Ditch the roses and chocolates. Those flying solo or coupled up can enjoy something different than the same old dinner and drinks at these four Valley events.

Anti-Valentine’s Day Party

All couples and those happily single are welcome to celebrate (or not) love this year with an anti-Valentine’s day party at Hula’s Modern Tiki. Hosted all day long February 14, sip featured cocktails including the Black Heart Social Club martini, the You Drive Me Bananas cocktail and the Pinot Gris Sangria. After 6 p.m., guzzle down $15 bottles of Rosé and Prosecco and enjoy half-off additional bottles of wine before heading out to Pele’s Fire Pit of Revenge (a.k.a. Hula’s signature dining patio and outdoor fire pit – Phoenix only).

Glow Yoga

If you’re looking to work up a sweat on Valentine’s Day in a new way, Jake’s Unlimited is hosting its popular monthly glow-in-the-dark yoga with a lovely twist. Singles and couples can join for a free Glow Yoga Valentine’s Day LOVE SESH on Feb. 14 from 7 to 9 p.m. The 60-minute flow class will start at 8 p.m. and will be accompanied by cocktail specials and black-light paint. Register here.

Dirty Dancing

Keep things classic this year with a showing of the iconic Dirty Dancing. The movie will be projected on the big screen at the outdoor Grotto at the Arizona Center starting at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 14. Food vendors will be on site with plenty of snacks (yes, including popcorn!) available to purchase. The event is free and the first 50 groups will receive a free blanket to cozy up with during the movie.

CRUSH Arizona

Rock out at Arizona’s longest standing EDM music festival CRUSH, who’s celebrating its 10-year anniversary. Taking place Feb. 15-16 at Rawhide, the two-day event will feature a lineup of killer performances from artists including Alesso, Seven Lions, 3LAU and more. Single day passes start at $59 and can be purchased here.
