With Tempe having one of the nation’s largest universities that is consistently known for partying and Scottsdale’s booming nightlife scene, it’s no surprise that two Phoenix bars were ranked among the “50 Best College Bars in America” by The Daily Meal. The list usually only names the top twenty-five, but this year they took to naming the top fifty. The bars are nominated by students and then judged on a point system with bars receiving points for having certain amenities and features (i.e. shot specials, short distance to campus, beers under $3, etc.). After nominations and ranking were complete, Mill Avenue’s Zuma barely made the list at #49 and Scottsdale’s El Hefe was ranked at #26. To view the complete list click here.
