Cirq, the latest nightclub to join the Old Town Scottsdale scene provides something rare to those looking to let loose on a Friday night: a themed nightclub. Just as it sounds, Cirq is a circus-themed club packed with elements often found at the greatest show on earth like carousel horses and clowns plus acrobats and aerialists flipping around. There’s even a place where guests can dig through wigs, masks and other costume items to wear for the evening.
Founded by the same team behind Cake Nightclub which closed its doors last October, Cirq is located where the previously short-lived Ellure lounge was housed. With much of Cake’s previous team on staff, club’s layout also mimics elements of Cake. Part lounge, part bar, the split-level main lounge has plush, oversized booths plus a dance floor, bar and cocktail tables while the upper level features the lounge area. There is also a private VIP room that can host up to 150 people with its own entrance, sound system, full-service bar and seating.
Unlike most Scottsdale clubs that also serve the daytime crowd, the new circus-themed spot is strictly a nightclub, operating from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. Monday through Sunday and focusing on bottle service.
