Celebrate the holiday by guzzling green beer from sun up to sun down at these five all-day parties throughout the Valley that will rock the shamrocks right off your socks.
Pot of Gold
Pot of Gold is taking over Rawhide March 16-18 for its annual Irish debauchery. With headliners Russ on Friday, Phil Lesh on Saturday and Rebelution on Sunday, this year’s festival proves to be another hit. Other artists performing include Dej Loaf, Dirty Heads, Sturgill Simpson, PNB Rock, Cody Jinks, Pepper, Magic! and plenty more, plus an Arizona local artist stage. There will also be a vendor village, food and drink and a full VIP experience that includes lounges, premium full service bars, a steakhouse dinner, viewing areas and more. General admission tickets start at $75.
Scottsdale Shamrock Crawl
The Shamrock Crawl has finally made its way to Scottsdale for a day of drinking like the Irish. The crawl will make its way through Old Town Scottsdale at some of the best bars including Bevvy, Whiskey Row, El Hefe, Old Town Gringos, Wasted Grain and more to be announced soon. The daytime revelry will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and participants will receive three penny-drink vouchers. The first will expire at 11 a.m. and the second will expire at 12 p.m., so keep on chugging. The official schedule will be released Friday, March 16. Tickets are $20.
ShamRockFest
Murphy’s Law is kicking off their 2nd annual ShamRockFest on Saturday, March 17 at 11 a.m. With beers, bands and a party of 12,000, this all-day event will rock the shamrocks right off your socks. Held at AJ Chandler Park in Downtown Chandler, this year’s entertainment includes headliner Alien Ant Farm plus Wyves, Highest Conspiracy, Carvin Jones, August In Stereo, Pride Through Strife and Bagpipes: Arizona Fire Service Pipe Band. Fill up on traditional Irish food from food trucks, kick back in a huge VIP tent or lay low in the family-friendly activity zone. Oversized adult games, local vendors, and a beer and cocktail garden will also be available. Tickets start at $10.
Under the Big Top at Padre Murphy’s
If you’re in the West Valley, visit Padre Murphy’s for their annual St. Patrick’s Day party. The day will include a full stage with live music all day, leprechauns, clowns, face painters, green drinks and of course corned beef and cabbage. Kicking off at 10 a.m., music will start at 11 a.m. and will last into the night as Status takes the stage at 9:30 p.m. to close the day out.
St. Patrick’s Day at Rula Bula
Post up at Tempe’s favorite Irish pub. Rula Bula on Mill Ave. is throwing an all-day party, and we mean all day. Kicking off at 8 a.m. and lasting until 2 a.m., the party will feature live music from Trevor Jones, Whiskey Rats and The Sullivans. There will also be live performances by Irish step dancers and bagpipers along with promos and giveaways from Guinness, Jameson, Tullamore Dew and Teeling Whiskey.
