Skate into the holiday season at Skate Westgate. Kicking off Nov. 3 and running through Jan. 13 (excluding Thanksgiving Day), skaters of all skill levels can glide on nearly 3,500 square feet of real ice at Westgate. The popular holiday event series will also bring back nightly snowfall, a tree-lighting ceremony, visits with Santa and free horse-drawn carriage rides.
New this year, skaters will be able to reserve a time slot by purchasing single-use tickets online. Onsite tickets and skate rentals will still be available on a first-come, first-served basis, including single-use and season passes.
On Tuesday, Nov. 20, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., Westgate will hold its official annual lighting of the 36-foot Christmas tree. The night will also feature the first snowfall of the season and Santa will be on site for photos.
Nightly Snowfall: Embrace the magic of the holidays with snow falling twice a night. The snowfall festivities begin Nov. 20 and run through Dec. 31 with shows occurring at 7 and 8 p.m. nightly, excluding Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. On Christmas Eve, attendees can enjoy snowfalls every hour starting at 11 a.m. until 8 p.m.
Visit Santa: Share wishes and snap pictures with Santa on select dates Nov. 20 through Dec. 24. Every child will receive a free gift along with one free digital download per family. Print packages will also be available for purchase. Westgate will host pet days on Dec. 10 and 17 where pet owners can bring their furry friends to meet Santa.
Free Carriage Rides: Westgate will offer free horse-drawn carriage rides every Friday and Saturday from Nov. 23 to Dec. 22. Rides will be available from 5 to 9 p.m., starting and ending in front of AMC Theatres.
