Drink up because Mill Avenue’s Pedal Haus Brewery just won a slew of awards at Copa Cervezas de América, the largest beer competition in the Southern Hemisphere, including Best Brewery in America. The competition features more than 2,000 beers from approximately 350 breweries across all continents.
It was Pedal Haus’ first year participating in the international competition, with the brewery walking away with four medals including gold for Best Brewery in America. The title is achieved by scoring the highest in the sum of all medals obtained which, for Pedal Haus, included:
Gold: The White Rabbit IPA won a gold medal in the White & Belgian IPA category.
Gold: The Bière Blanche, which has achieved back-to-back wins in the Great American Beer Festival and the Los Angeles International Beer Competition, won a gold medal in the Witbier category.
Bronze: The Day Drinker Lager was recognized with a bronze medal in the American Light Lager category, which marks the seventh win for Pedal Haus’ most award-winning beer style.
“We are honored to have received gold medals recognizing Pedal Haus as the best brewery in all of North America. We have enjoyed sharing our lineup of beers with Copa Cervezas de América and are thrilled by the international award medals we have earned this year for our handcrafted, Arizona-made beer.”
Julian Wright, Pedal Haus Founder
The win comes after other big wins at internationally recognized competitions including the Los Angeles International Beer Competition and International Beer Awards Excellence in Brewing N.A.B.A. The multi-award winning Pedal Haus Brewery is spearheaded by distinguished restaurateur and founder, Julian Wright and Beer Program Director, Derek “Doc” Osborne.
