The fun and innovative Phoenix bar, Bitter & Twisted has been nominated in the 10th Annual Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards. Plucked from thousands of other nominees, Bitter & Twisted is in the running for Best American High Volume Cocktail Bar against nine other bars across the country. The awards were created in 2007 to recognize the year’s best bars, bartenders, writers, experts in the hard working service industry. Ann Tuennerman, Founder of Tales of the Cocktail, says they receive hundreds of nominations for each category and narrowing it down is a process. Each nominee is extensively reviewed to ensure it meets criteria and then presented to 110 judges who determine the top 10 nominees.
On Monday, June 20, the top four finalists in each category will be announced via Facebook Live on the Tales of the Cocktail Facebook Page and each finalist will be invited to the awards show in New Orleans on July 23 where it will be streamed live as part of the 14th Annual Tales of the Cocktail.
