Dinner and a show takes on a whole new meaning at BLK Live. Located in North Scottsdale across the street from Scottsdale Quarter, the hip outlet is home to a fine dining restaurant and live on-site concert venue. Its chic interior and sophisticated menu of prime beef cuts is balanced out by its lively lineup which takes the stage in its outdoor venue. While you could easily cozy up for a nice romantic dinner, you could also gather your friends for a fun night out. Whether you want to do dinner and a show, or just one or the other, this is the most convenient place for both.
With its on-site concert venue, seeing a show is as simple as walking a few feet past the bar. The outdoor venue features a stage, an indoor-outdoor bar and a pool that’s surrounded by custom cabanas and daybeds available to be rented out. Expect to catch everything from rock bands and jazz shows to local showcases, cover bands and more. And with nowhere to travel in between the last bite and first act, you’re sure not to miss a beat—or a bite of dessert.
Before heading into the show, curl up in one of the booths for an upscale meal of classic faves. When it comes to the menu, we suggest starting things off with the brussel sprouts, which are bathed in balsamic vinegar and sprinkled with smokey bacon. This is one that we could keep munching on until the final song. The headliners of the show however, are the BLK Filet (pictured below) and BLK Ribeye, both made with Snake River Farms American Waygu beef. The filet is served atop a decadent mound of garlic mashed potatoes and tasty asparagus spears and topped with crispy onion strings and a port beef demi, while the ribeye is accompanied by blue cheese cream, sautéed kale, au gratin potatoes and broccolini.
To wash it down, the full bar offers everything from spirits to wines. If vino is your choice of drink, order one of the starred picks. These ones are bottled at nearby Desert Rock Winery which has partnered with BLK Live. The brand was originally founded in 2006 in Sonoma at Hoffman Family Cellars before relocating to sunny Scottsdale in 2015. Today, the winery features a full-scale production, from receiving the grapes all the way to bottling.
For killer deals, visit during BLK Live’s Social Hour, which offers select menu items and beer and wine at a discount. It also currently features its two seasonal sips worthy of the nice list, the Cranberry Creek and Rosemary Gin Fizzle. Social Hour takes place Thursday through Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. and on event days from 9 p.m. to close.
