Called “The Best Musical of the Decade” by Entertainment Weekly and “Broadway’s Biggest Blockbuster” by The New York Times, Wicked returns to Tempe on August 26. Described as “A Cultural Phenomenon” by Variety, Wicked tells the untold story of the Witches of Oz. The musical shows the events leading up to Dorothy’s arrival in Oz, and puts a new spin on the entire story, as we know it. The musical is based on the novel by Gregory Maguire and is the winner of over 50 major awards including one Grammy and three Tony Awards. Continuously being praised and awarded, Wicked is known to sell out in record time and break box office records over and over. Don’t miss your opportunity to see Wicked this year. The blockbuster runs from August 26 to October 4 at ASU Gammage Theatre and tickets go on sale Tuesday, March 30.
