With Phoenix Comicon just around the corner, comic-enthusiasts can get a jumpstart on the celebrations by participating in the “Quest Fest” pre-party hosted by CityScape Phoenix. Just two blocks from the Phoenix Convention Center where Comicon will take place, CityScape will transform into a comic-lover’s dream complete with a costume contest, specials, prizes and a screening of The Goonies. During Comicon, Patriots Park will become the POWER UP OASIS station where misters, phone charging stations and a seating area with games will be offered.
“The Quest” will take place on Thursday, June 2 from 4-10 p.m. where event-goers will venture out to participating CityScape retailers to try their $2 offerings and collect a button. Once participants have collected at least five buttons, they will head down to “The Fest” where the first 300 winners to complete the challenge will receive a portable charging stick. “The Fest” will take place from 6:30-10 p.m., and will include a costume contest and screening of The Goonies. The event will showcase cosplays from contestants of all skill levels and ages for a chance to win a Tuft and Needle “Mattress of your Choice” along with cash prizes and gift cards.
