The holidays are upon us once again and for the seventh year in a row, CityScape Phoenix is transforming into the winter wonderland of CitySkate. For seven weeks, guests can head to Downtown Phoenix where the Valley’s largest outdoor ice rink will be located along with a massive 36-ft. holiday tree. To complement the rink that’s situated in the center of Central Ave., guests will be able to enjoy experiential holiday decor, art installations and murals from local artists, hot cocoa from the Hot Chocolate Bar in support of Arizona nonprofits, nightly snowfalls at 7 p.m., 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. and appearances by Santa on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The grand opening and tree lighting event will take place on Saturday, November 26 with plenty to do including performances from Phoenix performing arts programs like the Phoenix Symphony, Arizona Opera, Herberger Theatre and Valley Youth Theatre. Favorite characters from children’s movies will be making an appearance in addition to activities, a snowfall, an appearance by Santa Claus and of course plenty of skating.
