Phoenix’s newest entertainment venue Copper Blues Live, will open on Nov. 23 (Black Friday) with a bang! Headlining the grand opening of the new restaurant and venue will be Saturday Night Live alum, and former local David Spade. In addition to a performance from the superstar, the all-day celebration will include lunch, dinner and late-night festivities.
CB Live is a new concept from Stand Up Live and Copper Blues, located in Desert Ridge Marketplace. The dynamic venue will feature two different sections, separated by a retractable, sound-proof sky wall. One side will be a restaurant “in the round” and will include a full-service eatery and bar serving chef-driven comfort food faves with a healthy twist and a craft cocktail menu with draft taps, cocktails, wine and beer. Food will be served 11 a.m to 2 a.m. daily with a kid’s menu included. On weekends, guests can visit for the Om-Lit Brunch, where party meets breakfast. An ongoing rotation of free events will offer guests a variety of fun including 80s and 90s nights, live band karaoke, dueling pianos and country nights.
The other section of CB Live will be the live side, a state-of-the-art music, comedy and multi-use venue. It will have the ability to transform from a traditional rowed theater, to a comedy club set up or standing concert space. The space will also be able to host other live shows like seminars, workshops, live podcasts and more.
The current star-studded lineup includes big names like Frank Caliendo, Marlon Wayans, The Dan Band, Andrew Dice Clay, Carlos Mencia, Jeremy Piven, Adam Ray, Jim Norton, Pauly Shore, Brad Williams, Tony Hinchclifee, Frankie Quinones, Josh Wolf, Gilbert Gottfried, Chingo Bling, Christopher Titus. Other shows include Friends! The Musical, Broadway Princess Party, Pretty Things Peepshow and more.
Tickets for the Nov. 23 grand opening event will go on sale Friday, Oct. 26 at 8 a.m.
