Brian Herwander, a.k.a. DJ Scene, is a Washington native who got his start DJing from the Seattle underground music lifestyle. He is known for incorporating distinct styles of scratching and blending into his sets and works with genres spanning from Top 40 and electronic dance music (EDM) to hip-hop and 80s classics. While his remixes helped him gain initial popularity, DJ Scene’s original tracks and music production have pushed his fan following over the top.
He released Slap It Down EP with Four Color Zack earlier this year and has garnered enough attention to be named the “Best Open Format DJ” by Remix Report. DJ Scene’s enticing and interactive performances have helped build his large fanbase and demonstrate his versatility behind the decks.
DJ Scene’s music style will complement the classic hip-hop and top 40 music Dakota regulars already know and love. Dakota has become a nighttime hot spot largely because of its popular hip-hop music selection, which ranges from hip hop classics to today’s hottest hits.
