Colleen’s Dream Foundation, Arizona’s largest private ovarian cancer-specific nonprofit announces the return of its successful fall event, Luau for the Dream, while the highly anticipated springtime Evening of Dreams Gala has been postponed until 2021.
Luau for the Dream will be held Saturday, Oct. 12 at Hotel Valley Ho. Attire will be Hawaiian resort wear, leis will be given at the door, fire and hula dancers will provide the entertainment and there will also be a pig roast. VIP ticket holders will have access to a silent disco afterparty at the end of the event.
“The primary reason we’re bringing Luau for the Dream back is because of the amazing community involvement that’s been poured into the event. Many longtime supporters returned to help us coordinate the luau. Our local community’s support remains a constant over the years, and it continues to be the reason behind our foundation’s success.”
Billy Cundiff, Colleen’s Dream Board Chair
Attendees of the 2018 Luau for the Dream raised $16,000 for ovarian cancer research. Colleen’s Dream anticipates a larger turnout this year and has set a goal to raise $100,000. All proceeds from the event will go toward funding ovarian cancer research.
While the Evening of Dreams Gala has been postponed until 2021, Colleen’s Dream Foundation’s annual golf tournament is expected to return in February 2020.
