Kearney began his musical career while attending California State University. He visited Nashville with producer Robert Marvin after his junior year which led to him receiving a recording deal with Columbia Records.
Kearney released his second album in 2006 titled “Nothing Left to Lose.” The title track from the album peaked at No. 41 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts and sold over 500,000 copies. The track “All I Need” appeared in the popular TV shows “Grey’s Anatomy” and “NCIS.” After releasing his album “Young Love” in 2011, Kearney went on tour with fellow singer/songwriter Owl City.
Kearney is scheduled to go on his “Just Kids” tour with opening support by Parachute and Judah & the Lion following the release of his album “Just Kids” on February 26. Songs “Billion” and “Los Angeles” from the album have both reached No. 1 on the iTunes rock singles chart. In total, Kearney has had a total of 5 top 20 hits on the Adult Top 40 Chart
Opening for Kearney is Christian Burghardt, an acoustic-based singer/songwriter and is signed to Kemosabe Records by music producing veteran, Dr. Luke. In 2014, Burghardt toured with Gavin Degraw and Matt Nathanson during their Summer Tour. His debut track, “Safe Place to Land,” was released in September 2014.
