Whether you’re a fan of funky and innovative cocktails or appreciate great American writers, W Scottsdale has got something for you. The hip hotel is unveiling a new cocktail menu for the Living Room and first up is the “I Love Canadians” that’s made with Stoli Elite vodka, Absinthe, Orgeat, cucumber syrup and lime and topped off with a cucumber ribbon around the inside of the glass.
The drink is inspired by the 20th Century novelist, Ernest Hemingway as absinthe was commonly enjoyed among poets and artists at the time.
“One of Hemingway’s interesting poems was about Canadians. It caught my eye, knowing that we get a lot of Canadians visiting the hotel and it was pretty interesting! The drink is crafty yet refreshing from the cucumber,” says Natalia, bar manager of the Living Room.
