It’s almost time for those little golden men to make another yearly appearance. The 91st Academy Awards will take place Feb. 24 and will once again roll out the red carpet, which costs a whopping $24,700 and takes 18 workers 800 hours to install. But when the average ensemble of an attending A-list actress costs a total of $10M, it’s worth it.
You have to look your best after all considering those who do snag a golden statue (which is only worth about $400 by the way) for Best Actor/Actress, will see a 20-percent boost in pay on their next film. As for the Best Picture winner? It will see an average box office increase of $15M.
Dreaming of attending? If you do, you’ll score a goodie bag worth $150K+. Not too surprising, considering last year’s goodie bag was the most expensive one to date, complete with a $40K luxury trip to Tanzania in it. After the big show, it goes without saying that the Vanity Fair Oscar Party is where to be. But as the most expensive after-party, it will set couples back $103,220 to attend. Ouch. So instead of attending, why not stay in and whip up one of these winner-worthy cocktails from Fox Restaurant Concepts. And for more fun stats on the Oscars, click here.
