Heading out to the Ostrich Festival this March? Get ready for a lineup of talented musicians and local artists. The 29th Annual Chandler Chamber of Commerce Ostrich Festival is hosting some star-studded entertainment March 10-12.
Kicking things off on Friday is Gin Blossoms, a rock band formed in Tempe in 1987. The band has multiple Billboard Hot 100 hits under their belt including “Hey Jealousy” and “Follow You Down” and their upcoming album will be released this summer. Also taking the stage on Friday is Spin Doctors, an American rock band born in New York City in 1989. Their first studio album, Pocket Full Of Kryptonite went 5x platinum and they’ve also performed on Saturday Night Live and The Late Show with David Letterman.
On Saturday, the main stage will host Grammy award nominee Eddie Money who has five albums to boot including Can’t Hold Back that features the single “Take Me Home Tonight” with Ronnie Spector that was nominated for a Grammy award. Starship will also take the stage on Saturday who boasts platinum album, Knee Deep in the Hoopla. Their most recent album, Loveless Fascination, was released in 2013.
Formed on the show X-Factor, Forever in Your Mind will perform Sunday, who recently signed to Hollywood Records in 2015 and released their debut EP FIYM in 2016. Chandler-based singer songwriter, Blaine Long, who appeared on The Voice will also take the stage in addition to Grammy Award-winning group, Los Lobos.
