Join Phoenix Theatre Company in celebrating 100 years of producing Broadway-caliber entertainment and pleasing audiences of all ages. Entering this milestone season, guests can look forward to crowd faves and a new world premiere musical.
Lineup highlights include Spamilton – An American Parody, a satirical take on the production that rocked the world of musical theatre; Kinky Boots, one of the first regional productions of the musical in the U.S.; and The Sound of Music, the beloved family classic which actually helped save The Phoenix Theatre Company from bankruptcy in the 1980s.
“Our 100th season is a true celebration of everything we’ve been through as a company, everything we’ve been working toward and everything we believe we can be,” explained Michael Barnard, producing artistic director, The Phoenix Theatre Company. “Classics like Hair, which we produced here on our stage over 20 years ago, bring us back to our roots and pay tribute to some of our milestones over the years, while shows like The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time and Americano! showcase the future of theatre with inclusive modern stories that help us really understand the people around us. With 10 productions and the 22nd annual Festival of New American Theatre, there’s truly something for everyone. We can’t wait to share this historic, celebratory season with our community!”
