Downtown Phoenix’s acclaimed cocktail haven, Quartz, is making waves with two dazzling new menus and an all-new Happy Hour. Known for its imaginative spin on beverages and one-of-a-kind ambiance, Quartz invites guests into a journey that blends local flavors with a bit of magic in every glass.
Nestled in a historic downtown space, Quartz is a visual masterpiece. A massive rock slab crowns its bar, and the renowned “Cave at Quartz” is a hidden, immersive cocktail experience. This season, bar director Maxwell Berlin polished up the main lounge menu to offer a selection of crystal-inspired cocktails alongside a Happy Hour menu full of tropical flavors available daily from 5 to 7 p.m.
The refreshed main lounge menu, “Crystal Cruncher,” explores the theme of healing crystals through vibrant and exotic ingredients. Expect creative cocktails like the “Bamn Bamn Beryl,” a whimsical tribute to Pink Beryl crystals. Reminiscent of the colorful Flintstone cereal, this drink delivers a fun punch of flavor and playfulness.
Guests can also look forward to Quartz’s signature Japanese shave ice cocktail, Kakigori, which is creatively crafted with Jell-O shots. Quartz also offers a variety of mocktails, each made with the same attention to detail as the others.
In the exclusive Cave at Quartz, accessible only by reservation, guests are treated to a 90-minute, immersive experience surrounded by mirrored, rose-gold arches. Here, Berlin’s new menu is a tribute to deserts worldwide, taking inspiration from local Arizona ingredients and international culinary traditions.
A standout cocktail is “We Call It Home,” a tribute to Arizona’s food scene. This locally inspired beverage combines ingredients from six esteemed Phoenix restaurants, including Valentine’s coal-roasted corn to Glai Baan’s bold onion and fish sauce. Each element in the drink nods to a different local flavor.
“We were inspired to change up the menus to continue to push the cutting edge of cocktails here in Phoenix,” Berlin said. “We’ve developed a reputation for quality and creativity.”
The Cave menu also features cocktails inspired by interplanetary desserts, like a blue corn mezcal drink mixed with Concord grapes and “Batha” milk, a blue-hued ingredient. The Middle Eastern-inspired Sharbat combines rose and strawberry flavors, while the Breaking Bread cocktail channels the Tabbouleh, blending eggplant for a smooth and boozy experience.
“The cocktails here at Quartz are unique, little pieces of art,” Berlin said. “We are so proud to share our love for incorporating international ingredients into thoughtful and inventive cocktails.”
Quartz will soon host themed events, such as Tiki Takeovers, Wine Mixers, and pop-up dinners with local chefs. Visitors can also enjoy signature hot dogs and bar bites. For more information, follow @quartzphx on social media or visit quartzphx.com.
