Gem Ray, the owner and founder of Scottsdale Nights, works with high-net-worth clients, athletes, celebrities, and nightlife enthusiasts to give people the best experiences in town. With almost 4.5 million people in his database, Ray is in business with most Scottsdale bars and venues and averages promoting 80 to 100 monthly events.
“Ninety-five percent of my business is relationships,” Ray said. “I work seven days a week and go to bed around 3 a.m. to wake up by 11 so that I’m available and ready to go, helping to serve my clients and their needs, whatever those may be.”
Ray’s to-do list varies, from obtaining VIP access, private tables, and premium bottle services at popular nightlife spots to acquiring tickets to coveted sporting events, fine dining reservations, hotels, transportation and Airbnb services, and more. He’s made a name for himself as the man who can do it all regarding Scottsdale nightlife.
Scottsdale Nights has connections with venues, restaurants, hotels, and events, including HIFI, Casa Amigos, Maple & Ash, Ocean 44, The W Hotel, The Phoenician, and more. Ray’s sole mission is to help fulfill any customer’s nightlife requests. His company took off around 2010 as social media became a key driver of connections and growth.
A few years ago, Ray expanded his business into national and international markets. Currently, he has over 300 contractors in 18 cities worldwide.
“We expanded beyond getting our clients into the hottest restaurants and clubs. Now we broker Airbnbs, handle transportation and hotels, and of course, restaurant, nightlife, concerts, and sporting events,” he said.
His clients include MLB, NBA, NFL, and the NFL Alumni Association. He proudly hosts Ohio State alumni for happy hours and Saturday Viewing Parties for the Buckeyes at Scottsdale’s Bottled Blonde. Ray said the nightlife industry has constantly evolved over the past 15 years, but he looks forward to the next 15.
Ray will host three exclusive events starting November 14 at 9 p.m. at Cake Nightclub to celebrate his anniversary. The party will continue with Friday’s event at Riot House beginning at 6 p.m. and Saturday at El Hefe at 6 p.m.
“One thing is certain – the party never stops in the ‘West’s Most Western Town’ and Scottsdale Nights is only getting bigger,” Ray said. For additional information, visit scottsdalenights.com or follow on Instagram @scottsdalenights.
