Looking to shake up your Valentine’s Day? Look no further than Sunny’s Lounge, a Barter & Shake Concept hosting a “My Bloody Valentine” pop-up from February 10-16. The pop-up will boast new specialty cocktails and events that take place during Valentine’s Day weekend.
Kicking off the festivities will be a Jazz Night, from 9 p.m. to 12 a.m. on February 14, featuring a performance from seasoned musician Ken Wagner. Guests will enjoy an intimate evening of piano and stand-up bass, creating the perfect lounge ambiance for a romantic date or a cozy night out with friends.
On February 15, DJs Vil and Jasper will take attendees on a nostalgic journey through the best of the 80s and 90s from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. at “KISS KISS BANG BANG,” a My Bloody Valentine-inspired dance party by playing a mix of shoegaze (a subgenre of indie and alternative rock characterized by obscure vocals, guitar distortion and effects, feedback, and overwhelming volume), punk, grunge and more.
The weekend will wrap up with a Galentine’s Day event presented by Ladies Who Brunch on the 16th from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will include food from Phoenix Culinary Collective and music to create the ideal brunch atmosphere.
