On Thursday, May 18, Tavern+Bowl will celebrate its official grand opening of its first Arizona location. Located at Westgate Entertainment District adjacent to Yard House, the 18,243-square-foot space features 12 state-of-the-art bowling lanes, a full restaurant, billiard tables, shuffleboard, a large outdoor patio overlooking Fountain Park and an indoor-outdoor bar with roll-up garage doors. It will also open up one of the city’s first microbreweries—Good Bad Ugly Brewing Co.—on-site within the next month.
“Tavern+Bowl has combined one of the West Valley’s first true in-house microbreweries alongside their high-energy bowling environment, adding a great new dimension to our already compelling tenant roster,” said Jeff Teetsel, Development Manager of Westgate Entertainment District.
With four California locations throughout San Diego and Orange County, Tavern+Bowl’s first Arizona location is primely located in Westgate where a variety of nightlife, restaurants and bars are already located.
“As iStar embarked on the Entertainment District strategic plan, the two linchpin elements to be co-anchors with already thriving AMC Theaters, were Dave & Busters and a cutting-edge bowling and restaurant center. We have studied bowling concepts in many states and selected Tavern+Bowl as the ideal fit for Westgate,” said David Sotolov, Executive Vice President and Head of West Coast Investments for iStar.
The public grand opening celebration will take place on Thursday, May 18 from 7 p.m. to close and will feature a live DJ and food and drink specials. The celebration will continue through the weekend with special events open to the public.
