It’s that time of year again to brave the heat and rock out to some of the top bands around. Since 1995 Van’s Warped Tour, the primarily punk-rock music fest, has kept fans returning year after year. The traveling fest is the longest running touring music festival in North America and the largest traveling music festival in the United States. This year’s Warped Tour kicked off on June 24 in Dallas, Texas and is on its way to rocking through 41 cities including Phoenix. The festival, previously scheduled for August 2, will now be held at the Phoenix Event Complex on August 4 and will begin at 2 p.m. The event was moved due to avoid conflict with the Panic! At The Disco and Weezer concert taking place on August 2 after many fans expressed disappointment. Cry no more, because those attending the Panic! concert can bring their ticket stub to Warped Tour for a $35 ticket.
“Unfortunately Vans Warped Tour and Panic! At The Disco & Weezer were scheduled on the same day in Phoenix this year. We have heard from many people who wanted to go to both shows, so we have been able to re-schedule our Warped date to Thursday, August 4th. As a thank you we have also decided that you can bring your Panic! At The Disco/Weezer tickets to the box office on the 4th and your ticket will only be $35.00,” says Warped Tour Founder, Kevin Lyman.
This year’s tour will feature plenty of bands, both veteran and new. Expect to see local favorite The Maine and classic tour favorites like New Found Glory, Yellowcard, Sum 41, Mayday Parade, Less Than Jake, Atreyu, The Summer Set and more.
